I think my comment was not clear. In N.42 after 1.a8Q? black can play any of the three queen moves 1....Qb7, Q:b2, Qc5. All these three moves will lead to same mate 2.Sc5# It so happens that only the black move 1...Qb7 defends the threat of this try. Similarly for the other tries. Hence there is no transfer of this mate. In Zivco's No.44 the moves of the black king along the halfpin line could be novel. Hope it is so !

Dear Ram, thank you for your comments! Actually in my problem n.42 there are transfered mates, which means that the same white mating move occurs over two phases of play, but is induced by different black moves. The white mate "2.Sc5" is thus ‘transferred’ from one black defence to another (1...Qb7, Qc5, Q:b2). Same to another white mates in solution. Of course the form is not so clear, because these mates are prepared in set play. Actually my main idea was the beauty connected play between the phases and the surprising sacrifice key. About n.44 - I can say that unfortunatelly almost all H#2 are with schemes (or part of schemes) which are shown before... But I do not know some direct anticipation of this nice problem by Zivko Janevski.

No.44 is very nice with pinmates and complete black half-pin. But, can it be original? I have seen similar theme shown in the 1930s 1940s. But Zivko should know !

Diyan. 2.Sc5# is not a transferred mate as after any of the first three tries, for the three queen moves 1...Qb7, Qc5, Q:b2 mate will be 2.Sc5 only. It so happens that only one of them is a defence to threat in each phase. Even 2.S:c2 is not a transferred mate as after the key also the same mate is playable if white plays 1...Qd4. It so happens that 1...Qd4 is not a defence after the keymove 1.Be3 !
