Your problem P1240897 in PDB is very interesting Rolf, many thanks for sharing with us! AUW and four Pawn Rundlaufs with 10 pieces only is great! Unfortunately there the first white move in all solutions is the same, so some composers probably will prefere to eliminate it, but in this case the Pawn Rundlauf will be lost... The term "Pawn Rundlauf" is realy in my memories, but I can not remember from where. But in my opinion the Promoted Pieces Rundlauf (started and finished on the promotion square) is more difficult. But as you said - everything is possible, so probably some day we will see AUW problem with 4 Promoted Pieces Rundlaufs...

Many thanks for your prompt reaction, Diyan! In my own classification, I call this "Rundlauf P". To answer your other question, I do think that it might be possible to create a problem with Rundlaufs of all four promoted pieces. So many "wonders" have already happened on the chess board...:-) For example, P1240897 shows all the four "Rundlaufs" P[D,T,L,S], and this with 10 pieces, only. Actually, the "Rundlauf" P[T] is more a double switchback, but being a bit more liberal it seems tolerable as a linear Rundlauf... :-)

Rolf, when I wrote that in problem B (truly masterpiece) Rundlauf in S variation is not exist, I was focused on promotion square and I mean Promoted Piece Rundlauf from the square of promotion (f8-f8) as in the other 3 solutions. But you are right that in S variation the Rundlauf exist too, but this time from the initial Pawn square (f7-f7) (Probably its called "Pawn Rundlauf"?). So now I correct my comments and make it more clear. Also include the dedication to Abdurahmanovic. Thank you! I am wondering is it possible to be created AUW problem with four Promoted Pieces Rundlaufs all finished on the promoted square... It will be fantastic...

Your problem 98 is very fine, Diyan. Regarding problem B in Appendix, there is a (capture-free) Rundlauf in the 4th solution with S promotion, too, namely from f7 to f7. Furthermore, this problem was dedicated to Fadil Abdurahmanovic.
